Working with
Texas Cares Rx
How your organization can work with Texas Cares Rx.

What do you get by joining the Texas Cares Rx program?
By joining the Texas Cares Rx program, your organization will be part of a statewide network of volunteers which helps Texans gain access to needed prescription medication.
Texas Cares’ trained Navigators assist clients in applying to patient assistance programs (PAPs) using PAP navigation software, which reduces paperwork and makes the application process easier.
Why use Navigational Assistance?
Many prescription medications have a low-cost option available through discount programs or manufacturer’s PAPs. As the prescription drug marketplace changes often, using a specialized software ensures that the most current application is used. After entering the necessary information, the software accesses available manufacturer’s PAPs, allowing clients to apply for multiple drug savings with one application.
Free Training and Certification
Navigators affiliated with your organization will receive free training on the PAP application process and what is needed to complete an application. Training includes best practices and helpful tips to ensure Navigators are up to date on medication availability, eligibility criteria, and any changes in applying for those savings. Upon completion of the training, Navigators receive a certification which verifies to their clients they are trained and ready to assist. All volunteer Navigators will also have access to webinars and newsletters containing topics of interest to those working with Texas Cares Rx.
